As night falls and the city’s neon lights flicker, the busy day gradually subsides, and I was fortunate enough to participate in a special event—the Confucius Institute Night Tour. Through the guide’s description, I felt as if I could experience the benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith advocated by Confucus during the Spring and Autumn period over two thousand years ago, which still has great practical significance in today’s society. Especially the emphasis on education made me think more deeply about current educational concepts.

Afterward, we participated in a special tea ceremony experience. In a tranquil environment, the teacher demonstrated the entire process of tea ceremony, from brewing to sipping, every step containing rich cultural connotations. While tasting the rich Pu’er tea, I felt the warmth and tranquility of the tea, as if all the troubles of the world disappeared at this moment. The delicate tea fragrance accompanied by soft music relaxed both the body and the mind.

The highlight of the night tour was the traditional art performance. The students of the college performed classical dances, Peking opera excerpts, and live instrumental music. Although it was an amateur performance, every actor poured his or her full passion into it, and every movement on stage revealed a reverence and love for traditional culture. As they walked onto the stage in their magnificent costumes and with the weight of history, I felt the power of culture. This was not just an art display but also the inheritance of the spirit of the Chinese nation.

As the night tour neared its end, my heart was filled with warmth and emotion. In these few hours, I not only learned a lot about Chinese culture but also felt the role of the Confucius Institute as a cultural bridge. Here, friends from different countries study and share together, unconsciously narrowing the distance between us.
